By allowing you to book a time slot that best suits your needs this site helps you to minimize the precious time you waste while waiting for service . Your service provider has created a set of services, each with the required typical service time built in. Based on your preferred arrival time we will offer you the available times for what you need.
Choose what best suits you. Enter the requested information on the form. Not all fields are required. Those that are will be highlighted for you. If you are a returning client at this location the system may recognize you to make your new booking even quicker.
For you to receive confirmation of your booking a valid email address is needed. Once you have chosen a service and booked a time an email will be sent to the email address you provide. Please plan to bring a printed copy or show us that email on your phone when you arrive for service.
Certain types of services require confirmation of your identity, some do not. This is determined by your service provider in order to apply the rules they must follow upon your arrival for service. In some cases prior to actually booking you will be presented with a form or questionnaire which will either admit you to the booking area or refer you to some other information. This is typically required for COVID-19 testing wher you are asked to provide information that will qualify you for getting the test.
You have the option on the booking form to select what form of identification you plan to present. Remember, the email does not prove your identify, just that it was the one used to make your booking.
The demo exercise
This particular demo site has two very distinct kinds of services blended together, just for the purposes of example. In reality, the booking system would be set up to support just one type of service scenario. It could be such as a store manager trying to handle the number of people inside OR a COVID-19 Drive-Through testing site OR anything else. In the demo both of these services are co-mingled.
The service time for the drive-through is set at 5 minutes and assumes just one person per car. Your only choices are which line you want to get in. The idea is that you can play with making bookings and see how the system offers you only what is free.
The service provider sets up the options based on their resources and location constraints. For instance, if planning to service 4 persons in a vehicle and the service provider is prepared to handle that situation based on their resources they will provide a “4-to-a-car” service option and set the time required accordingly based on the number of technicians they have on hand and the “flow” of the physical location. Agency with no or low parking capacity can handle a steady flow without a chaotic backup.
For the store manager controlling the store occupancy they have provided a number of different shopping “durations” from which you can choose. You know how long you expect to shop based on your needs at any particular time. You might need just to “pop in” for one or two items requiring ten minutes, common in a store you know well. It would be very inconvenient to have to stand in line for 40 minutes! This system will allow you find a more workable window. Again, there will be confirmation and booking validation needs but not a line stretching around the corner. Your quick shopping trip can be brief and you can get back to your day and the store can stay a peak capacity.
